Transits are the real-time movements of planets across the sky, measured against the fixed positions of your natal chart. The key to reading transits well is understanding speed. The Moon changes signs every 2.5 days — its transits are fleeting moods. Mars spends about six weeks per sign, triggering action and conflict in the houses it activates. Saturn and Jupiter move slowly enough (2.5 years and 1 year per sign respectively) that their transits define entire life chapters.
